Coming into the NFL week 14 betting preview all eyes are on the playoffs. Covering the New England Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC while the New Orleans Saints go head to head with San Francisco 49ers in the NFC. The final match preview is a battle for an NFC wildcard position as the Los Angeles Rams will play the Seattle Seahawks.
Coming to the later stages on the NFL season teams are going to fortify themselves to fight for the glorious position to take part in the playoffs. The Patriots will be looking to regain the 1st seed position back from the Ravens while the Chiefs will be out for payback after last year’s AFC championship.
The Rams need another important win after going 34-7 against the already eliminated Cardinals. The clash between the Saints and the 49ers for the top spot of the NFC should be a thrilling event, especially with the Packers right at the heels of both sides. San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints, Sunday 8th December 6 PM
This clash between the 49ers and Saints looks like a thrilling one with both teams showing a record of 10-2. The 49ers are coming off a 3-point defeat to the Ravens while the Saints claimed an 8-point victory against Atlanta. The Seahawks victory pushed the 49ers to second place in the NFC West and have a tough game coming up against the Rams.
The 49ers will want to push themselves back into that second seed position. The Saints have guaranteed their position in the playoffs by clinching the division but will not willingly give up their spot as first seed coming off a 3-game winning streak.
The 49ers are good underdogs and during this season have gone 4-0 against the spread. The 49ers have the best-ranked defence in the league. They managed to keep the Baltimore Ravens to 20 points compared to their last 5 games where 30 points were the previous minimum. The Saints are also missing Left Tackle Terron Armstead due to an ankle injury.
We are tipping San Francisco 49ers to go 5-0 against the spread as underdogs. You can get the 49ers +2.5 at 25/27 on GiveMeBet. The Saints have also suffered some low scoring games this season and there may be value in them scoring under 23.5 points at 5/6 against the highest-ranked defence in the league.
Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots, Sunday 8th December 9:25 PM
The Chiefs and Patriots game will take place in the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The Patriots are currently the second highest-ranked defence in the league. The Chiefs are a highly offensive team with the 4th highest ranked offence so far this season. The Chiefs are also the 3rd best-ranked passing team.
The Patriots have home advantage but can also exploit the Chiefs weak defence. This matchup should end up in a high scoring game. The previous 3 meetings between these teams have finished with over 60 points in each game.
The Patriots went from Superbowl favourites to second-favourites at 4/1 with GiveMeBet, while the Chiefs are sitting at 11/1 to come out on top. The last 3 games featuring these sides saw the Patriots come out on top in 2 of them. However, the Chiefs are coming off a convincing win 40-9 against the Raiders whereas the Patriots had a disappointing outing falling 6 points short in the 28-22 defeat against the Texans. Even with Ted Karras out and Rob Gronkowski missing the deadline on a possible playoff return.
We’re looking at the Patriots trying to bounce back from the last defeat to take advantage of a much weaker Chiefs defence. There may be value in over 48.5 points at 20/23 on GiveMeBet but we are tipping the Patriots -3 at 25/28.
Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams, Monday 9th December 1:20 AM
The LA Rams have the home advantage facing off against the Seahawks on Sunday. The last three meetings between these teams have been tight affairs with Seattle coming out with only one victory. Over the previous 3 games, five points have prevailed as the largest difference in the teams.
The Seahawks are aiming to further secure their position as the division leaders in NFC West. Russell Wilson is going to be a key figure for the Seahawks and currently has his name in the hat for regular-season MVP. Having 264 average yards per game which is up a total 50 yards per game compared to last year.
Seattle is strong in the running back positions with Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny. Even after the Rams big victory, the Seahawks look like a stronger team. The Seahawks need the victory to hold off the 49ers from regaining the top spot in the NFC West. Even though this game is set up to be a tight affair we are tipping the Seahawks at 10/11 at GiveMeBet.
That concludes the week 14 betting preview make sure to check back next week.
