With one round of Premier League fixtures behind us, it is time to look ahead to the next and after a week in which the Both Teams To Score market was one that provided very few winning opportunities, it’s time to widen our net.

ARSENAL VS BURNLEY

The action gets underway at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon, as Arsenal play host to Burnley and with both clubs opening their account with an opening weekend win, someone’s (or perhaps both outfits) one hundred percent record will have to go in North London.

While it is trips to North London that have given Burnley little to shout about in recent times, as the last four meetings here have all ended in wins for the hosts – something that suggests that Arsenal in the box seat to make it five in a row on Saturday.

However, offering up Arsenal to win at odds of 2/7 may be considered a good banker but it’s not really going to get the pulses racing, therefore we’ll need to dig a little deeper in order to extract the best pre-match value.

Although the Gunners are dominant at home, they do take a while to warm up and therefore a half time draw/Arsenal win combination at 11/4 certainly looks inviting, while if you think there will be a flurry of early goals, 6/4 for over 3.5 total goals is also worth your consideration.

ASTON VILLA VS BOURNEMOUTH

It is fair to say that Dean Smith’s men certainly gave a good account of themselves last Saturday away at Tottenham and were it not for a bit more experience at this level, they could have pulled off the biggest shock of the weekend.

Next up for them is the visit of a Bournemouth side who were held by fellow promoted outfit Sheffield United on the same Saturday and it was a performance that shows just how hot and cold the Cherries can be.

With Villa bringing in a raft of new signings, there is a feeling of optimism around the West Midlands and if you are optimistic that they can earn a first win of the season, then odds of 13/10 for home success looks incredibly inviting.

MANCHESTER CITY VS TOTTENHAM

We’re only in week two of the season and already we are presented with a heavyweight clash, as Manchester City play host to Tottenham at the Etihad and this is usually a game that presents goals from both sides.

Excluding City’s slender 1-0 win at the tail end of last season, the four previous encounters would have all paid out in the Both Teams To Score market and if you think there will be a return to these proceedings, then you can back it at 8/11.

While although Pep Guardiola’s men already look rampant this season, this is going to be the real acid test as to whether or not Tottenham can make a genuine title challenge and although the outright win at 7/1 may be considered a brave punt, there is another way in which to look at it.

With the double chance market offering odds of 21/10 for Tottenham not to come away from Manchester empty handed, it provides a little extra insurance and if Spurs can show their title mettle early on, it may provide a handsome early win for anyone bold enough to back this bet.
