Wales have named a strong starting XV for their penultimate Pool D match with Fiji. A win for Warren Gatland’s side will secure qualification to the quarter final stage and most likely leave them in top spot.
Of course their last World Cup game with the Flying Fijians resulted in a shock 38-34 defeat in the 2007 World Cup. Wednesday’s game does not have the same jeopardy attached to it but it’s important none the less. A win will most likely secure top spot and a quarter final clash with the French.
A Fiji win would strengthen their chances of reaching the knockout stages. However, they would be relying on Georgia or Uruguay to pull off a shock against Australia or Wales respectively in the final pool games.
Our partners Genting Bet have previewed the game with Pete Colley joined by Andy Goode and Jim Hamilton in studio to discuss the Pool D encounter.
