The second Rugby World Cup semi final of the weekend sees Wales take on South Africa in Yokohama. Both sides are without key players for this one. Fullback Liam Williams is out for Wales while speedy winger Cheslin Kolbe is out injured for South Africa.
South Africa are odds-on favourites for this one at 1/3 with Genting Bet. The Springboks coped well with a fearsome Japan side last week and Coach Rassie Erasmus will pleased with their defensive efforts – allowing only an early Yu Tamura penalty. That game finished 26-3 with diminutive scrum half Faf de Klerk pulling the strings.
The Boks face a slightly different proposition this week in the form of Warren Gatland’s Wales. The Grand Slam winners haven’t lost in this World Cup, squeaking past 14-man France on a scoreline of 20-19. They will enter this match in high spirits with the nation’s first World Cup final appearance in their sights. The return of Leigh Halfpenny to the starting XV will soften the blow of Liam Williams’ injury. His only appearance at the 2019 Rugby World Cup was a Man of the Match performance against Uruguay.
Once again we can bring you Genting Bet’s preview of Sunday’s big game. Host Pete Colley is joined in studio by former Scotland International Jim Hamilton and former England fly-half Andy Goode.
